Religious extremism and Cult worship

From the beginning you are able to identity Westboro Baptist Church’s views which are that homosexuality is not allowed and that Barak Obama is the Anti-Christ which is based on one person and so Louis Theroux go to Westboro Baptist Church located in Topeka, Kansas to find out more information. Some of their other views include:
  • Abortion
  • The idea of an Heaven and an Hell
  •  Gambling
  • Israel and the Jews
From this documentary Louis comes into contact with his old friend Steve who was a film maker who converted to Christianity and then joined Westboro Baptist Church and Steve helps to produce the leaflets and posters for the cause that he believes in. Steve produces a song towards Israel suggesting that they are going to die which makes them happy and they choose to rejoice and because his daughter does not want to be part of the church she is then kicked out of the house and her family then turn their back on her and removed all her photographs named Lauren. They believe that everything happens for a purpose for the good including: breast cancer, the holocaust, aids, dead soldiers etc. From this you are able to understand that most of the people that are part of this cult soon become brain washed into believing into one thing which is that they are perfect and everyone else is tainted or dirty.
